Dallas wine enthusiasts and food lovers, mark your calendars! On September 24, the acclaimed Al Biernat’s North is hosting a one-night-exclusive dinner featuring the impressive portfolio of renowned winemaker Jayson Woodbridge. Known for his innovative wines from Hundred Acre, Fortunate Son, and the newly launched Summer Dreams line, Woodbridge is ready to take your palate on a journey through the sensational regions of Napa and Sonoma.
A Culinary Experience Like No Other
The centerpiece of this event is a beautifully curated four-course meal created by Chef Luis Rodriguez. Each course has been thoughtfully paired with wines from Woodbridge’s celebrated collection.
As guests arrive at 6:30 PM, they will begin their evening with passed hors d’oeuvres starting with the 2024 Summer Dreams Vulcan Ridge Vineyard Rosé of Pinot Noir. Attendees will have a chance to mingle and enjoy these delightful bites while anticipating the culinary excellence that lies ahead.
Wine and Food Pairings that Exceed Expectations
The dinner will officially commence at 7:00 PM with the first course—a refreshing Modern Greek Salad accompanied by the 2023 Summer Dreams Walking on Venice Beach Sauvignon Blanc. This pairing sets the stage for an evening filled with vibrant flavors.
Next up is the delicate yet robust second course featuring Herb-Crusted Lamb Medallions served with prosciutto-wrapped figs and fig demi-glace, elevated to new heights when paired with the 2021 Fortunate Son “The Diplomat,” a sumptuous Merlot-Cabernet blend from Napa Valley.
The highlight of the evening, the main course, features Roasted Elk Chops complemented by king trumpet mushrooms and a luscious plum glaze, perfectly balanced with the 2021 Hundred Acre “Wraith” Cabernet Sauvignon. As the final course approaches, prepare for a sweet ending that includes a luscious German Chocolate Cake paired with Hundred Acre’s Wraith Fortified Dessert Wine.
